Obituary:
Mr. Vester Lee Daniel of De Kalb, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at a Texarkana hospital. He was 86.

Vester was born May 20, 1924 in De Kalb, Texas to Walter and Della Proctor Daniel. He was co-owner of Telford Furniture and Propane and a member of First Baptist Church of De Kalb, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Daniel; sisters, Mildred Martin, Roxie Butler, and Lois Shelton; a son, Jimmy Lee Daniel; and a great grandson, Tristan Daniel.

He is survived by his wife, Floice Daniel of De Kalb, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Judi Daniel of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters, Nita Wilsford and Jo Ann Batchelor of De Kalb, Texas; a sister-in-law, Bessie Daniel of De Kalb, Texas; five grandchildren and spouses, Brian Daniel, Scott and Heather Daniel, Jennifer and Jacky Mills, Jeff and Traci Daniel and Jade and Amber Daniel, all of De Kalb, Texas; 9 great grandchildren, Daniel Mills, Madison Daniel, Jordan Daniel, Carrie Daniel, Zach Daniel, Trent Daniel, Travis Daniel, Chase Daniel and Luke Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 11, 2011 at First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Walter Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery.
