Obituary:
Mr. Barry Neal Goodwin of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was 53.

Barry was born January 22, 1958 in Naples, Texas. He was a Steelworker and Inspector and a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas.

He was preceded in death by two nephews, Scott Ford and Casey Goodwin.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Goodwin of De Kalb, Texas; a son, Brandon Neal Goodwin of Hooks, Texas; three stepsons, Duane McClellan of Dallas, Texas, Dylan McClellan of De Kalb, Texas and Michael McClellan of De Kalb, Texas; two grandchildren, Madison Goodwin of Fort Worth, Texas and Kylar Goodwin of Hooks, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Roy Ford of Hooks, Texas; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Danny and Sandra Goodwin of Simms, Texas, Jimmy Goodwin of De Kalb, Texas and Kevin Goodwin of Gatesville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas with Rev. John Watts and Rev. Jeff Footer officiating. Interment will follow at Wards Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Titus Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Ave., Mt. Pleasant, Texas 75455.
