Glass, 84, of New Boston, Texas died Thursday, June 2, 2011, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mrs. Glass was born January 12, 1927, in White Rock, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society and First Baptist Church in New Boston, where she taught Sunday School for over fifty years. She also helped at First Baptist, with public relations and custodial duties. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie L. Glass; and one son, Jerry Lee Glass. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, P.D. and Rhonda Glass of Malta, Texas; one sister, Jean Boswell of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, Jack Boswell of Grand Prairie, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Delane and George Huggins of Malta, Texas; grandson and wife, Justin and Amanda Glass of De Kalb, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Glass Morales of Edmonton, Oklahoma; granddaughter and husband, Sara and Joe Phair of San Antonio, Texas; great grandchildren, Maddie and Mollie Huggins of Malta, Texas; Kaitlyn and Joseph Phair, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; and step great grandson, Cody Huggins of Redwater, Texas and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas with Bro. Ken Cox and Terry Hughes officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. P.D., Was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing but we truly know she has gone to a much better place.
