Wilbert "Willie" Seggerman - age: 84
(February 19, 1928 to February 21, 2012 ) Resident of Avery, Texas Visitation Information: 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2012 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Wilbert "Willie" Seggerman passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at his home in Avery, Texas. He was 84. Willie was born February 19, 1928, in Eureka, Illinois. He was a retired Materials Handler from Red River Army Depot and a member of Avery Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII. He was preceded in death by a son, Wilbert Seggerman, Jr.; and a daughter, Joella Seggerman. He is survived by his wife, Christine Seggerman of Avery, Texas; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Charlene Seggerman of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Leslie and Jean Seggerman of Roanoke, Illinois, Myron and Debbie Seggerman of Spokane, Washington, and Gregory and Penny Seggerman of Avery, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet and Darrel Long of New London, Iowa, Beverly and Jeff Rodgers of Keosauqua, Iowa, and Janel Polinsky of Dickinson, North Dakota; children by marriage; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda Skipper of Avery, Texas and Lisa and Danny Sturdivant of Avery, Texas; two sons and a daugter-in-law, Larry Watson of Denton, Texas, and Jody and Jeannie Watson of Annona, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Dutch Breach of Secor, Illinois; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Seggerman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2012, at Avery Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roddy Jackson and Rev. James Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Bates Family Funeral Home. |
