Obituary:
Mrs. Ardie Frances Guest, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at a Texarkana nursing center. She was 86.

Mrs. Guest was born January 8, 1924 in Hugo, Oklahoma, to William and Cora Drake Hicks. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cora Hicks; her first husband, William Everette Johnson; an infant son, James Johnson; her second husband, Leonard L. Guest; and her son, Earl Gene Guest.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Kathy Guest of Texarkana, Texas, Richard and Rosie Guest of Daingerfield, Texas; grandchildren, Dearl Guest of Texarkana, Texas; Sarah Guest of New Boston, Texas; Scott and Brandon Guest of De Kalb, Texas; Haley and Bryce Guest of Daingerfield, Texas; and a great grandson, Jackson Kane Guest of Texarkana, Texas.

Visitation will be 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Woodmen Cemetery with Robby Bates officiating.

Dean, Richard and family...my heart-felt condolences for you loss. I will always remember Mrs. Guest for her kindness to me when I was a boy visiting in your home on countless occasions. Some of those memories include her calling into the house to have church services. She truly lived her faith in Christ which should be your comfort now.
