Forsyth, 73, of Texarkana, Texas passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at a Little Rock Arkansas hospital. Joyce was born August 21, 1937 in De Kalb, Texas to Horace and Sallie Caddenhead Forsyth. She was an Industrial Worker for Globe Union and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sylvia and David Phelps of Avery, Texas and Tina Caldwell of Avery, Texas; one son, Lee Caldwell of Avery, Texas; two brothers, James Forsyth of Avery, Texas and Gary Don Forsyth of New Boston, Texas; four grandchildren, Derek Phelps of De Kalb, Texas, Darren Phelps of Avery, Texas, Haleigh Caldwell of Avery, Texas and Ashley Caldwell of Avery, Texas; two great grandchildren, Ty Phelps and Cayce Phelps and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother Louis Forsyth and two sisters, Martha Shifflett and Dorothy Matthews and a nephew, Alford Dewayne Matthews. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating.
